LASER TREATMENTS

Soft Tissue Laser - Laser technology’s unique features offer anti-bacterial therapy for gum disease, aesthetic gum recontouring, frenectomy, ulcer and “cold sore” treatments and gingival pigmentation reduction.

Biostimulation Laser – This exciting dental technology is a non-invasive high intensity laser that sends the healing/repair signals to damaged cells. This laser can accelerate orthodontic treatments, help with tooth hypersensitivity, pulpitis, trigeminal neuralgia, TMD and paresthesias. The laser penetrates the bone, nerve, muscle, ligament and tendon tissue, and reduces acute and chronic inflammation as well as acute and chronic joint and soft tissue pain. The Biostimulation Laser can also aid in post surgery healing.

MYOBRACE FOR KIDS

Unlike traditional orthodontics, the primary goal of myobrace is to achieve naturally straight teeth for life - often without the need for braces or retainers.   Treating the causes of crooked teeth also improves general health and allows children to reach their maximum genetic potential.

The appliances are designed not only to straighten teeth, but also to treat the underlying causes of crooked teeth by correcting poor oral habits such as mouth breathing, tongue thrust and incorrect swallowing patterns.

SNORING AND SLEEP APNEA THERAPIES

WHAT IS SNORING

Snoring is a sign of an obstructed airway, typically caused by poor muscle tone in the throat & tongue, bulky throat tissue (due to excess weight, lange tonsils and/or adenoids), a long soft palate and/or uvula, or blocked nasal airway.   The snoring noise is caused by the vibration of the obstructing tissue.

45% of the population snore and up to 75% of habitual snorers have obstructive sleep apnea.

WHAT IS SLEEP APNEA

Sleep apnea is a common chronic disorder in which you have one or more pauses in breathing or shallow breaths while you sleep.  This often moves you out of deep sleep into light sleep.

"...In general, (sleep apnea is vastly undertreated, Kryger and others say.   Doctors often fail to ask questions that would lead to the diagnosis, or they don't realize that symptoms such as heart disease, diabetes and obesity might all be related to underlying sleep apnea..." - USA Today Nov 2, 2013
